When it comes to the World Wide Web, it is pretty simple to get online, find a site that you want to play at and have at it. You will want to go through the checks and balances to make sure that you have the stuff that you need, but you are really going to want to ensure that you have chosen a site that you like and that you are comfortable playing there. But when it comes to the land based gambling industry, things are much more complicated than simply sitting down and playing a little online video poker, especially if you live in Chicago.

InChicagothey are battling the idea of video gambling and seemingly getting nowhere. After two years the battle has continued with the Back to Work Illinois coalition trying to change the city’s municipal code to allow video gambling inChicago. They say that they want not just video gambling, but any form of gambling at all, to be allowed in the city. They tried this same thing two years ago but it didn’t go anywhere so they are trying it again as they think that the “political climate” has changed in a way that would allow this to pass. The first effort though was only in reference to video gambling while this one makes much broader strokes. The plan to allow the basics was approved, but it has been held up by court challenges, etc. so it has not come to fruition.

In Chicago, it simply takes on a new level of confusion as they work to overturn ordinances that are in place to keep it out. Since the state law is not really going anywhere, the people of Chicago think that they should leave well enough alone, but that does not look like it is going to happen any time soon.

That is the question that every one is asking – who will be first? First for what? Well, online gambling of course. Whether it is online video poker or slots, or any other game it doesn’t matter. All that matters is who gets to be first to offer it to their residents. There is a certain amount of street cred that comes out of being the first to offer it to your citizens and that is the one thing that states cannot abide – having someone else beat them to the punch.

If you wiki it you will see that there are plenty of states that are looking to be the first to offer it, and that the breadth of online video poker, and slots, etc. has grown drastically over the years. It used to be that a few people played, but now it has turned into a full blown billion dollar a year industry that people cannot wait to get a piece of. By not allowing people to play all the government did was make people play illegally – for they did not stop playing. This was the biggest problem that most of the online sites had was that they had US residents who were still playing and the government was trying to keep them from doing so

But with recent polls showing that the majority of Americans want legalized online gambling, the states are working very hard to be the first to be able to make their residents happy. There is California,New Jersey,Nevada,Iowa,DelawareandNevada– all of whom are trying to push through the paperwork. However, there are other states that are quietly continuing on with their day while working on it behind closed doors. Experts say that they don’t have the ability to make a guess, but that they know that someone will have it soon.

It would appear that the state of Illinois is going to have a hard time getting their video poker games brought into the state. The Gaming Control Board has been working with local municipalities to see where the state might start bringing them into, but it would appear that many of them do not want them. For some of them, they passed laws years ago banning video poker machines from being legal in their counties, and others just recently passed similar laws in an attempt to keep out the gambling element. Unfortunately they had no idea that these laws were on the books until truck stops, etc. started applying for licenses to offer the poker machines.

Now for those that are aware that there is a real push to bring in more money to the state, as it is with everyone as can be seen at recovery.gov, for the state does not have the money for various infrastructures that need to be completed. The money from the video poker machines is needed in order to complete the projects, and bring in much needed jobs.

The idea of bringing in video poker has long been pushed off and now it is going to take even longer as they continue to look for locations that they can put the games. Those that are against the games say that the state is going to have a tough time putting in the video poker games because of these laws, and they say that this should show the state how little their games are wanted. They say that this is another “roadblock” to stop the games from taking over their state.

It is funny how many people have a tendency to think of poker in terms of playing a team sport. They think about the camaraderie of playing with friends around a table and they end up thinking of it in terms of a group game. But once you get outside of the friendly neighborhood game, you start to realize that poker is not a team sport at all, but an individual hobby. And no where can this be seen more than in the game of video poker.

Video poker is man verses machine at its best. These poker players sit down in front of the video screen and gone is the camaraderie, gone are the jokes and the “bosom buddy” routine, it is just you and the game you came here to play. You check on sites like MSNBC and you will find them referring to poker as a group game, but when it comes to the video poker games – it is every man for himself. You have to have all the tricks and tips that you would have used if you had been playing in that group setting for you need them in order to beat the machine, but looking for tells or anything that might give you a leg up on the man next to you will not fly here. No, video poker is its own beast, and it must be played as such.

You will find that there are some terrific blogs out there like http://best-online-casinos.com/blog/ that might have tips or strategies on how to handle your new opponent, but do not be fooled into thinking that you can assuage this one with a beer and a slice of pizza. The video poker machine is out for money – your money – and will stop at nothing to get it. So take care when you play, for it is taking it as seriously as you should be.

For those that are still debating what to do with their gambling expansions or additions, New Jersey is not letting any moss grow on them. They have been furiously working on several land based and online gaming based programs at the same time, as they are looking to have all of their irons in the fire at once. They know that there are some online gambling strategies that have to be worked out before they can bring it to the state in an intrastate manner, but they would be remiss if they did not consider all of the ramifications of making such a move before doing it. Not only that, but they have to be sensitive to the land based gambling options that are there as well for their casinos and their racetracks will all be affected by the issue.

But as with many things, when it rains it pours and there are currently two online poker bills in the legislature. They had passed the bill last year that would legalize poker online, but the governor refused to sign the bill. So now the bills are back for another go around and many are wondering if video poker is going to be legal for them online. The issue for the Governor was that the state’s constitution stated no gambling outside of Atlantic City and online poker would be happening across the state. This means that the state’s constitution would need to be amended to enable this.

The new bills should have addressed his concerns, and many feel that they stand a real chance of passing them this time around. The governor has said that he would like to see online video poker legalized and is working with others to see if they can manage to get this accomplished this time around.

The United States online video poker industry is aware that getting legalized is going to take some work. They have been at it for a long time now, and they are not going to let anything or anyone deter them from their goal. But when you check news sources similar to abc.net.au/news and they are reporting that poker online is not going to happen, it can get pretty disheartening for many players. Video poker will be legalized eventually, we are sure of that, but as the saying goes – the waiting is the hardest part.

There are many top online casinos out there that are offering playing options for the US players out there, but many are hesitant to try them out for fear of ramifications from the government. They are afraid that one of the payment processors that have been put forth out there will take their money and run and they won’t have anything that they can do about it. This leaves them in more than a little bit of a jam, so they were really hoping for some movement on the legalization front.

But there was a goal to get the video poker online bill put on the payroll tax cut bill so that they could both be pushed through at the same time. However, this did not happen for players and now it looks like there won’t be any momentum until after the elections in November. Had it been on the bill, it would have opened many doors for them and made it possible for online gambling to get its feet under it again, but alas, for now, it cannot be done.

When you play poker – whether it is on a random Real Time Gaming site, or if you are playing at bestonlinecasinos.net, or even if you are playing live, there is a way to play the game of poker. Online video poker is great because it lets you hone your game, but with the advent of live gaming much of the poker playing online is much like the poker playing in a live casino. You are going to get people who cannot play very well, and you are going to get people who play extremely well. You are going to get nice people at the table and then you are going to get people who are not nearly as nice and are seriously out to get you.

But playing with different types of people and different styles of playing is one of the things that make both live poker and online video poker so much fun. It is the uncertainty of playing that makes one question everything they have learned up to this point in the game. Depending on who is at the poker table you will have to re-evaluate your game and your strategy based on their types.

This is something you will have to do every time you play though for you almost never play with the same people unless it is a private game, and even then there are people who might be invited here and there to try the game that will mess with your system as well. For many that means you have to figure out everything from where you sit to who it is you are going after. These are the things that will help you eventually win the game.

Whereas it was once the job of the casino industry to battle online gambling to keep it illegal, it now appears as though the tie is turning. According to several news sources, the online gaming market is heating up and not just due to strides towards getting it legalized. There are many of the larger casino companies that are now looking to take the steps necessary to ensure that they will have an online presence should the UIGEA, or Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, be repealed. There are many that think that there is a good chance that the industry could see legalization as early as the end of this year. That means that these companies that have been fighting against it have to start taking steps to get their names out there as well.

We have already seen companies like Harrah’s make moves to get out there, and now it appears that Caesars, MGM Resorts, and Boyd Gaming are all looking to make that move as well. You can find information on many of these moves on Wikipedia.org, as these companies are not shy about announcing their possible moves. Some of them are looking to strike out on their own, while others are looking to pair up with companies like bwin.party in order to take advantage of their expertise and existing presence in the market.

Companies like gambling.org are reporting on these changes and many are sure that this is a good move for the industry. The more these larger companies get on board and start making moves to join them instead of fighting against them, the more money will be put behind the quest for legalization.

When considering all of the avenues that you can go with online gambling and playing poker online, there is bound to be some confusion as to how it works over the Internet. Suffice it to say that it is safer than people say it is, and once you really understand how it actually works it can be a lot of fun. This is why so many people do it, and why it can be a great way to spend your time and make a little money while doing it. Those details as to how it actually works is not important, what is important is that those that understand it are out there making it work for you.

This is why the anticipation of the online poker market has gotten so great as so many companies are interested in getting their foot in the door in the United States before their market opens up. Many big name casino companies are excited by what they feel are big progressions in the direction of the online gambling market. They think that they are looking at simply an eventuality of the market opening up and they want to make sure that they get in on the ground floor. They also want to go about doing it in a way that will not upset the US Department of Justice so that they are not shut down before they even get a chance to start.

Big names like MGM are jumping on the bandwagon – and teaming up with equally large names in the online gambling industry. Party Casino, owned and operated by easily one of the best known companies out there today – Bwin.Party are teaming up to bring in their own version of online poker to their players. They know that when the market opens they will be able to move forward with what will undoubtedly be one of the largest online betting firms out there.

There are plenty of options when it comes to video poker out there, and how you play is just as important as what you play. The industry has seen a huge amount of growth lately when it comes to video poker and not just online. Both the online casinos and the land based ones have found that they are being inundated with requests from players looking for video poker games. This is because it is a “strategy based game” that really challenges its players, much more so than many of the slot machines that are out there today.

The beauty of playing something like this is that there are so many ways to play it that can give you the advantage over the house – which is nice because with slot machines you don’t usually ever get that advantage. One of the things that makes video poker so popular is that you don’t have to sit at a table and play against other people and a dealer. Instead you can simply play by yourself and many like the solitary aspect of the game. Now some would turn to slots instead, but this does not give the poker player any challenges, and that is why there are there to gamble. CNN News has done some stories on the popularity of video poker and they have shown how it is the drive of the poker player that makes this such a popular game.

If you are looking for a site to start at here is a link to one that we find very entertaining – http://onlinecasino.co/video-poker/.
